Ric brings over three decades of experience to large institutional investors.
Ric Ford, FSA, EA, CFA, FCA, MAAA, is a senior vice president in the Capital Markets Research group. He is responsible for developing strategic planning solutions for Callan’s institutional investor clients, with a focus on defined benefit plans, including asset allocation, asset-liability matching, and asset class manager structure.
Ric brings more than three decades of experience providing actuarial guidance to large institutional investors. Prior to joining Callan in 2021, Ric was a principal at Buck Global, focused on growing the firm’s actuarial, administration, and investment consulting offerings. Prior, he was both the head of Pension Finance and Investments, and the Pension Committee vice chair for Voya Financial. He also previously worked at the global consulting firm Mercer, where he performed over 200 asset-liability projects.
Ric attended the master’s in actuarial science program at Georgia State University and received a BS in chemistry from Oglethorpe University, where he was an Academic All-American on the basketball team. He is a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary, a member of the Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow in the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a member of CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta.
