Mark is the U.S. equity class lead in Callan's Global Manager Research group.
Mark R. Wood, CFA, is a senior vice president and U.S. equity asset class lead in Callan’s Global Manager Research group. Mark drives the U.S. market research, identifies emerging themes within the asset class, and collaborates with Callan’s Capital Markets Research team on manager structure best practices. He is also involved in mentoring and training new hires.
As an investment consultant, he is responsible for research and analysis of U.S. equity investment managers, and assists plan sponsor clients with U.S. equity manager searches. He meets regularly with investment managers to develop an understanding of their strategies, products, investment policies, and organizational structures. Mark is a member of Callan’s ESG team, Alternatives Review Committee, and Institute Advisory Committee. He is a shareholder of the firm.
Prior to joining Callan in 2013, Mark worked as the senior research analyst for Cook Street Consulting, Inc., a boutique consulting firm based in Denver. He was responsible for investment manager searches and due diligence for U.S. equity, fixed income, and target date asset classes.
Mark earned a BS in finance from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and member of CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco.
