Ben Taylor is a senior vice president and head of tax-exempt defined contribution (DC) research. Based in Los Angeles, Ben leads research into public sector and nonprofit DC plans for the firm. He is a shareholder of the firm.
In his career, Ben has served as the consultant to the DC plans of 18 states, and many large cities and universities. He taught economics at Harvard University, where he received an award for excellence in teaching. He has also been published by Oxford University Press and is one of the co-authors of The Disruptive Impact of FinTech on Retirement Systems.
Ben is past president of NAGDCA‘s Industry Committee and served on the NAGDCA Board. He serves as vice chairman of the Public Retirement Research Laboratory, is vice chairman of the SPARK Data Security Oversight Board, and is a member of and receives briefings by the Financial Services Information Sharing Analysis Center (FS-ISAC).
Ben earned a BA from Reed College, a master’s of international political economy and development from Fordham University, and a master’s of public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
